Spivakovsky co-founded and led the Australian Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, including fundraising for the orchestra’s inaugural tour of Australia in 1966. The Friends also arranged many special events for eminent artists visiting Australia, such as Artur Rubinstein in 1964.
