In 1927 Spivakovsky toured Austria and performed with the Tonkünstler Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Hans Knappertsbusch. From the Neues Wiener Journal: "Here is a true pianist who gives himself with ecstatic love to the sound-colour poetry of the piano, who is able to grasp the finest moods and present them with exhaustive valour."
