The heir of Liszt
Berlin, 1919
Walter Neimann’s book Meister des Klaviers described Spivakovsky under the heading wunderkind as follows: "spirited, full-blooded, potent, greatly sensitive and instinctive musicality, supreme technical talent." In 1919 an admirer presented Spivakovsky with a newly minted copy of this book, which they had inscribed in German: "To the unsurpassable master of the piano, and the matchless Campanella virtuoso, Jascha Spivakovsky, with thanks for the 3rd May, 1919 – Front Row Sitter."
