The heir of Anton Rubinstein
Europe, 1910

At his professional debut in Leipzig at the age of thirteen, Spivakovsky was proclaimed “the heir of Anton Rubinstein” by the most discerning critics. He then toured Europe and was summoned to palace performances, where he astonished the royal families with his artistic virtuosity and interpretive maturity. Celebrity postcards with his photo circulated Europe and his name appeared in publications on the great pianists of the time.
